The Request for Quotation (RFQ) module is the core of procurement on Axya. It provides a structured workflow for buyers to request pricing from suppliers, compare quotes, and award contracts -- all in one place.
Axya supports three types of requests, each suited to a different procurement need:
Every request follows a defined lifecycle:
| Term | Definition |
|---|---|
| Request | The RFQ, Simple RFQ, or RFP created by a buyer. |
| Quotation (Quote) | A supplier's response to a request, containing pricing, lead times, and any conditions. |
| Addenda | Updates or clarifications issued by the buyer after a request has been sent. |
| NDA | A Non-Disclosure Agreement that suppliers must sign before accessing full request details. |
| Intent to Bid | A supplier's confirmation that they plan to submit a quote. |
| Award | The buyer's decision to select a supplier's quote. |
| Contract | The formal agreement generated after an award is made. |
