Drafts let you prepare an RFQ over time without sending it to suppliers. You can save your progress, collaborate with your team, and pick up where you left off. For full details on creating a request, see Creating an RFQ.
Click Save at any point during RFQ creation to save your work as a draft. The RFQ Name field is required to save. If you close the form without providing a title, Axya auto-generates a name from the description text.
All form fields are preserved in the draft, including:
To view your saved drafts, click the Drafts button on the Requests page. Each draft displays its name and creation date. Click any draft to load it and continue editing.
You can also create drafts directly from Projects and Purchase Requisitions, which pre-populate relevant details into the new draft.
Internal chat is available during the draft stage, so your team can discuss the request before it goes out. You can also add collaborators to a draft RFQ, giving them visibility and the ability to contribute.
To prevent clutter from abandoned attempts, Axya automatically deletes empty drafts after 7 business days. A draft is considered empty when it has no title, no line items, no attached files (aside from an NDA document), no targeted suppliers, and no collaborators.
Drafts and templates serve different purposes:
When you load a template into an existing draft, Axya prompts you to save or discard your current changes before applying the template content.
For more on reusable configurations, see RFQ Templates.
