When creating an RFQ, Axya can automatically suggest suppliers that are the best fit for your request. The recommendation engine analyzes your draft RFQ requirements and matches them against supplier profiles in the Axya network.
- Automatic requirement analysis — As you build your RFQ draft, the engine analyzes your requirements by:
- Extracting text from your attached files and description.
- Identifying the material type, manufacturing processes, technical specifications, and required certifications.
- Interpreting the complexity level and special requirements.
- Enable Marketplace — Toggle the marketplace option during RFQ creation to open your request to the Axya supplier network.
- Receive recommendations — Once your RFQ is finalized, the system compares your needs against supplier profiles in your network and suggests a shortlist of 5-10 suppliers ranked by relevance.
A detailed description produces more relevant recommendations and avoids misinterpretation.
Example: "Steel weldment for overhead crane with anti-corrosion paint. CWB 87.1 certification required." This kind of specific, technical description yields significantly better matches than a vague request.
The recommendation engine considers:
- Materials and processes — Matches your part specifications against supplier manufacturing capabilities (e.g., laser cutting, CNC machining, welding)
- Industry certifications — Identifies suppliers with relevant certifications (ISO 9001, AS9100, CWB, etc.)
- Technical and industrial profile — Evaluates each supplier's profile against your requirements
- Historical performance — Factors in past collaboration history, RFQ response rates, quote quality, and delivery reliability
- Geographic proximity — Considers supplier location relative to your facility for shipping efficiency
Each recommended supplier receives a match indicator:
